If Banzai runs slowly, fails to load interactive simulations, or blocks email notifications, your school district’s content filter or firewall may be restricting traffic to the platform.
Signs your network filter is blocking Banzai
Universal issue: The site fails to load on all school-issued devices or across an entire computer lab, rather than for a single student.
Network-dependent access: The site loads normally on a mobile phone or personal laptop using cellular data, but fails on school Wi-Fi.
Partial loading: Text and page layouts load, but interactive simulation scenarios, audio, or game assets freeze or fail to connect.
Missing emails: Teachers or students do not receive verification links, class join invitations, or password reset emails.
If you encounter any of these symptoms, share the technical specifications below with your district IT administrator or technology coordinator.
Technical Specifications for IT Administrators
To ensure uninterrupted access to Banzai's interactive courses and administrative tools, please configure your web filter, firewall, and email gateway to allow the following domains and protocols:
1. Web Filter & Content Filter Allowlist
Allow outbound and inbound traffic across standard web ports (Port 80 HTTP and Port 443 HTTPS / WSS for secure WebSockets) for:
banzai.org*.banzai.org
(Note: Allowing the wildcard domain *.banzai.org ensures that subdomains hosting simulation media assets, student portals, and gradebook endpoints remain accessible.)
2. Email Gateway & Spam Filter Allowlist
To prevent transactional emails—such as account creation confirmations, password reset links, and student class communications—from being quarantined or flagged as spam, whitelist the following sender domains:
banzai.orgteachbanzai.com
