    Setting Up an Assignment-Based Class

Assignment-Based classes give your students clear direction on what activities you want them complete. After you create an assignment-based class, you can create an unlimited number of assignments within it.

Here is an example of an assignment.

Unlike classic classes, your students will only see the activities you assign to them. This ensures they only access the specific curriculum you want them to complete.

Here is the student view of an assignment.

Your students can also click on Assignment Resources in the top-right corner to access any articles or worksheets associated with their assignments.

    Click Assignment Resources
Her is an example of the resources.

We recommend assignment-based classes for all new teachers. If you’re familiar with Banzai and prefer to give students access to all courses at once, you can create a classic class instead. You will not be able to switch between the two after you've made your decision.

How to create an assignment-based class:

    1. From your dashboard, click Classes.

    2. Click Create New Class.

    3. Select Assignment-Based Class.

    4. Enter a class name. This is how it will appear to your students and on your Classes page. The name is often based on the subject, such as “Financial Literacy,” or the time the class meets, such as “4th Period.”

    5. Click + Create Class. (Heads up! If you create an assignment-based class, it cannot be changed into a classic class.)

You should now have a new assignment-based class! Now you can start adding assignments [link needs to be added after published is approved].
