How Do You Clear Your Cache?

Some teachers report being unexpectedly redirected back to their Banzai homepage when they click Preview All Courses or open a Sample Student account.

This issue is most common when using the Safari web browser, especially after creating a new Banzai account or when using a tablet. It’s typically caused by cached data or outdated browser cookies.

The good news: Clearing the browser’s cache and cookies fixes the issue in nearly all cases.

Below are step-by-step instructions for the most common devices teachers use.

    Why This Happens

When a browser stores older versions of Banzai pages, it may load outdated session information. This can cause the Preview Curriculum or sample student pages to fail to load, forcing a redirect back to the homepage.

This is not an issue with the teacher’s account or with Banzai’s curriculum—it is strictly a device/browser caching issue. When a computer saves data about a website for future use, that data is called a cache. Sometimes the cache conflicts with the data from the website. Clearing the cache helps sync the computer to the website so they can communicate properly. It's sort of a spring cleaning for computer memory. You may need to relogin to some websites after your cache is cleared.
